Liposomal Gaba with L-Theanine
Regular price
$37.00
GABA with L-theanine combines a highly-bioavailable form of GABA, the body’s primary inhibitory neurotransmitter, with the green tea-based compound L-theanine. Together, these ingredients provide dynamic parasympathetic nervous system support, helping your patients experience calm and relaxation in our frenetic modern-day world.
GABA – GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is produced by neurons throughout the gut-brain axis, the vital neural pathway that links the gut with the central nervous system. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that calms the sympathetic “fight-or-flight” response and activates the parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” response. Chronic stress depletes GABA, creating a vicious cycle of anxiety and hypervigilance. Supplemental GABA has been found to reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, and improve sleep quality.
L-theanine – L-theanine is an amino acid analogue found in high amounts in green tea. It offers potent anti-stress effects without causing drowsiness. It supports a positive mood and boosts levels of the neuroprotective signaling molecule BDNF. Importantly, L-theanine also inhibits excitatory glutamate signaling, which can harm the brain in excess.
The bioavailability of GABA and L-theanine is strictly limited in the gastrointestinal tract. Quicksilver Scientific’s advanced liposomal delivery system offers an elegant solution to this problem, significantly enhancing GABA and L-theanine bioavailability for rapid, powerful calming effects.
