Berkey^® Systems equipped with Black Berkey^® Elements dramatically reduce trihalomethanes, inorganic minerals, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, VOCs, petroleum products, perfluorinated chemicals, rust, silt, sediment, radiologicals, and more. We recommend replacing Black Berkey® Elements every 3,000 gallons (6,000 per set of 2 elements). Elements may require replacement sooner based upon the quality of influent water.  If desired, Berkey PF-2^™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements may be installed on each Black Berkey^® Element.

Travel Berkey (1.5 gallons)  System includes upper and lower stainless steel chambers, 2 Black Berkey® Purification Elements (not expandable), 1 stainless steel lid,1 spigot, rubber gasket to protect the base, 2 wingnuts, 2 washers, and 1 priming button.  For normal everyday use, this system easily serves: 1-2 people.  Up to 2  Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters may be installed in the lower chamber of this system if desired.

Big Berkey (2.25 gallons).  System includes upper and lower stainless steel chambers, 2 Black Berkey® Purification Elements (expandable up to 4), 1 stainless steel lid,1 spigot, rubber gasket to protect the base, 2 wingnuts, 2 washers, 1 priming button, and 2 blocking plugs.  For normal everyday use, this system easily serves: 1-4 people.  Up to 4  Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters may be installed in the lower chamber of this system if desired. 

Royal Berkey (3.25 gallons).  System includes upper and lower stainless steel chamber, 2 Black Berkey® Purification Elements (expandable up to 4), 1 stainless steel lid, 1 spigot, 2 wingnuts, 2 washers, 1 priming button, 2 blocking plugs, 1 rubber gasket to protect the base.  For normal everyday use, this system easily serves: 2-4 people.  Up to 4 PF-2 Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Elements can be installed in the lower chamber if desired.

Blemished Berkey​® systems are identified by a distinctive “B” stamped on the upper and lower stainless steel chambers, which indicates that the chambers ARE NOT warrantied against cosmetic defects. However, the ​Black Berkey​® Elements carry the standard 2-year pro-rated limited warranty,​ which provides you with the same performance and longevity that you would experience with any of our non-blemished Berkey​® systems.
